The first official state flag of Maine was introduced in 1901 and used as the state flag of Maine until 1909. The pine tree was used as a symbol for New England and state tree of Maine, while the blue star symbolizes the North Star and represents the state motto I direct. This hat has a Salt-Wash to create a weathered, heavily sun bleached look. The high thread count embroidered flag patch creates a vintage look. It is adjustable with snaps.
